Three Incidents Lead to Felony Charges

 

       On May 24th Deputies responded to a report of shots being fired at a boat occupied by a couple joy riding in Little Red River. The suspect in the incident, 55 year old, Steven Allen was located by the officers, taken into custody and transported to the Cleburne County Detention Center with-out incident. Allen was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and bond was set at $20,000.

      Rodger Dale Pittman, a 39 year-old, Greers Ferry resident was arrested and booked into the Cleburne County Detention Facility Saturday night charged with one count of Rape. Evidence gathered at the scene of the incident, which occurred on Starview Lane in the Tumbling Shoals area is currently being processed. The 21 year-old victim was treated at and released from Baptist Medical Center in Heber Springs. Bond for Pittman was set at $75,000.

      Twenty-four year old Matthew Neighbors was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household member, and Second Degree Criminal Mischief, all Class D Felonies, following an altercation on Diamond Bluff Road. The complainant and witnesses alleged that  at approximately 6:30 AM, May 27th, Neighbors threatened two individuals with a handgun, and intentionally rammed two vehicles prior to leaving the scene. Neighbors surrendered himself to Deputies later that morning at the Sheriff’s Office. Bond for Neighbors was set at $10,000.
