On 9/8/09 Ashley Short-Milam and Joseph D Milam were arrested by Sgt. Bryon Rushing on Felony Aggravated Assault warrants for their role in an assault that occurred on or about August 22,2009 during a trip Frog Gigging in the Quitman Area. Victim Jeremy Boyce of Heber Springs reported that himself and three others were out frog hunting when he was assaulted by Ashley and Joseph Milam and by Gregory Quinn.Boyce reported that he was beaten and at some point a metal flashlight was used in the assault. Follow-Up Investigation by Detective Phil Burnham resulted in warrants for the three suspects being issued. Quinn is currently being sought for the assault and has an active Felony warrant for Aggravated Assault any information as to his whereabouts would be greatly appreciated.
