On Friday, January 25^th Deputies, along with officers from the Greers Ferry Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on Creekside Drive near Greers Ferry. The victim was transported by air to a hospital in Little Rock, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to the face. The injury was not life threatening and the victim has since returned home. Mark Kantz, age forty-eight of Greers Ferry has been charged with First Degree Battery in the incident and is currently being held in the Cleburne County Detention on a $150,000 bond.
