Sheriff Marty Moss
As your Sheriff, I would like to welcome you to the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office official website. It is our goal to be proactive and provide you with information that will enhance your knowledge of the Sheriff's Office and improve the quality of life for the citizens and visitors of Cleburne County. We all know Cleburne County is growing and our deputies and administrative staff want to grow by showing a willingness to make changes and accept new challenges.
The Sheriff's Office is a constitutional office responsible for servicing the County Circuit and District Courts and operating and maintaining the County Jail. Our office is committed to providing a superior level of professional Law Enforcement services to the citizens of Cleburne County. We hold ourselves ACCOUNTABLE to the public and to the principles of HONESTY and INTEGRITY, with the goal to INSPIRE CONFIDENCE in the Sheriff's Office for all the citizens of Cleburne County. In my first term as your sheriff, I have received help from so many individuals and also from agencies such as Heber Springs Police and Fire Departments, Greer's Ferry, Quitman, Concord, Rose Bud, and Pangburn Police Departments, all Rural Fire Departments, Search and Rescue, Office of Emergency Management, Arkansas Game and Fish, and Arkansas State Police.
Also our office receives tremendous support from Cleburne County Judge Claude Dill and the Cleburne County Quorum Court, all the elected Officials of Cleburne County, as well as State Representative Lance Reynolds and Congressman Marion Berry. With the help of the dedicated employees of the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, we have been able to accomplish many goals in our first two years. Among the many goals we have met, are the placement of a fulltime School Resource Officer that works in two schools, returned the State 309 inmate program to the jail, improved the Sex Offender notification throughout the county, we have placed more emphasis on drug enforcement with the number of drug arrest doubling since taking office, and we are in line to receive $187,000 Methamphetamine Grant that will enable us to bring more drug education to our schools, and enhance our ability to fight the war on illegal drugs.
We also applied for and were one of 15 Counties chosen to participate in the States Pilot Program that allows the county to be reimbursed by the state for inmates picking up trash along our roadways. We were able to reach these goals in addition to answering more calls and booking more individuals into the Cleburne County Jail than in years past. I am very grateful for the individuals and dedicated employees that have been a part of helping us accomplish so much. We hope you like our new Website and if you have suggestions on ways we can better serve the citizens of our great County drop us a note. The Cleburne County Sheriff's Office is yours and we take pride in serving you.
